I guess this is the first trip that we have to wake up that early to catch up our schedule and Penang breakfast as well. The first meal of today, we are going to have it at Eng Loh Coffee Shop which located at Lebuh Gereja. This old style coffee shop offering western breakfast satisfied all of us ^.^
the famous bread offer here
It's bread with butter and peanut jam topped with peanut sand
taste not bad and is a unique new thing to me
this is my favourite
bread spread with thin butter and topped with hard-boiled egg
you can also found this in Old Town but there's are serving brown bread
put little bit soya sauce and pepper on the egg and spread it evenly on the bread
Perfect!!!!
This is what other ordered
I heard that they say the coffee here taste not bad
Just opposite the coffee shop, we are having a visit to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. Here showing the building structure, interior design, furniture, decoration, clothes, jewellery and daily life activities of Baba Nyonya. This is the second time I came since last year, the arrangement changed a little bit, but this time I get a chance to have a detail look at everything instead of just camwhore.
1. The entrance and outside look of The Pinang Peranakan Mansion
2. Inside look of the building, is still with green wall
3. Many dramas and movies were casted here
4. Nice building structure and style
5. Brochure of picture of Baba Nyonya
All baba nyonya things that you can found here
They are just too excited to take pictures with everything
The next two destination - St. George Church and Goddess of Mercy Temple, we are actually *walk horse see flower*, didn't really have a detailed look into it. In fact, these places also don't really have any detail things to look XD
St. George Church
I think this is the first time I went to church
this white building is as pure as white colour
you can't even find any dirty on the white wall....I think they repaint the wall frequently
Goddess of Mercy Temple or commonly known as Guan Yin Theng
nothing special inside, just have a round and bai bai inside
Across Goddess of Mercy Temple, we had our lunch - Hainan Loh Mee. It's also a very old style coffee shop but selling a well known Loh Mee. It taste is a bit different with the KL one, but taste good for me. The biggest problem in ordering food here is the communication, for a person who doesn't know to speak in Hokkien such as me, it's very rugi lo!
the lor mee here is quite different to my thought
the sauce taste different with KL style
it's served with half side hard-boiled egg, chicken leg, pork slices and pork liver
RM3.60 per bowl
the loh bak is quite nice, but I seldom eat loh bak so I don't know whether this is awesome taste
Rm1.50 per roll
We do a lot of exercise in Penang - walking. I made two big mistakes, didn't bring a pair of socks and bring a wrong bag. As a result, my foot started to pain. If you travel without car, don't ever think that bring money is the most important, anything else can be bought there. Like me, I can't find socks here! What can I do is just getting a box of plaster and keep paste it onto my foot as a cushion. A lesson I learned here, must bring socks for next travel, a thick one!!!
Turning a round in Yap Kongsi, they started complaint hot and don't wanna visit any temple anymore. Thus, we straight away take bus heading to Batu Ferringi. Along the way in bus, we are so worry that we don't know when and where should we go down. However, we also managed to get down in the right bus stop and meet a Indian guy which lead us to the beach.
I am so sure that this is bad luck. This stubborn fellow just keep following us no matter where we walk. Why? because he want us to play those water sport activities which provided by him. Even though we told him that we just wanna play water here, he still don't believe and keep following us. Eventually, he give us a black face and talk a lot craps which my ear refuse to let them in.
Initially, we were so pek cek as we can't do anything as being *monitored* by him. Luckily, a woman who selling spa service there offer help to us. All this have ruined our excited mood of playing water here, I even don't felt good on this famous beach in Penang. Though it's a well known place, but it don't have a well facilities of toilet. We have no idea where can change our clothes and where to bath afterward.
The only thing we can do is utilise our mouth wisely, ask here and there. Finally, we settled down and solved all the annoyances. We get into the sea and bath away all our sweat! The sand here is much more coarse compared to Bagan Lalang. The sea wave here is also more vigorous, I think it can really pull us away into the sea. The only thing we do here are only being pulled and pushed by the sea wave, as well as run away from the parasailing.
Nice beach view here but having bad experience
this famous beach in Penang is visited by so many foreign people
they wearing so sexy here and enjoying the sunshine...
while I hate the hot sun but they playing cards under the sun =.=
After we think we have wet enough and carrying many sand in our pants and panty, we went to the opposite coffee shop which offer bathroom for RM2. I am feeling so hungry, so I shared a dish of fried rice with Cindy in the coffee shop, which totally out of our expectation, superb delicious!
After bath, no...suppose while bathing, I already feel so damn hungry!
So, I shared a plate of fried rice with Cindy just at the coffee shop that offer bathroom to us
As I said, it's really super delicious!
RM3.50 per plate
Walking down the street, we found the Long Beach food court. The surprise we found here is the BBQ chicken wing, you can't imagine how tasty it was! In KL, whichever food court, normally the chicken wing is not popular, but here the stall is so busy, We have waited for about 20 minutes before we were served with the chicken wing.
The fried kuey teow here taste not bad
When I order the spring roll, I thought it was like popiah...
who know it's fried popiah! Haha~
The taste is just so so but marked with a high price
RM3 per roll
this is the surprise we get here -- finger licking good BBQ chicken wing
The popularity proved its tastiness
RM1.60 per chicken wing
Another famous thing in Batu Ferringi is its night market, it's a very very long market which you can't see the end. Many things selling here, but be careful that being *chopped* by those seller with an expensive price. We were exhausted and doesn't really have the energy to walk till the end of the market. So, when the bus passby, we just get onto it and go back hotel!
This night is a different night, we stay in the new hotel. This probably is the trip that we stayed in two hotel...haha~ Oriental Hotel, three guy sleep on queen size double bed, me and Hui Nin sleep on the single bed, and the most benefit goes to Miss Cindy, enjoying a single bed all herself.
1. Early in the morning, we packed all luggage and moved to new hotel ^.^v
2. Oriental Hotel located at Penang Road
3. Taking picture in the hotel lobby
4. The inside view of our room, far more better than the first day hotel with a
price of RM150.50 per night
It's still not the time to sleep yet, not until we feel the night life in Penang town. However, compared to KL, the night life here is pretty quiet. So, we had a supper time in Red Garden Cafe and went back hotel. I am super tired and sleepy, straight fall asleep when I lied on the bed, and I even didn't wake up in the midnight. Day 2 end~
Once I walked in the food court, I was attracted by this cake stall
A foreign woman was packing a cake from the stall owner
So, how could we miss it???
I think we really can't found this cake any other places else...and it's really tasty!

The fish porridge is tasteless and doesn't really nice for me
